altea brake calliper

Hi I have a 2006 Seat Altea 1.6 petrol. I haven’t had it long and have tried to change the drivers side rear discs and pads today as they are down to the metal (I sound like I’m flying a jet!) I then found that when I had removed the calliper and tried to rewind the piston it will not turn back...
