  1. Mk2 - Aquaplaning

    Are Mk2 2.0 cars prone to aquaplaning? Answering my own question, I can't think why really, it's quite a heavy lump up front..... Mine is, I'm putting it down to the Michelin Pilot Sport tyres (loads of tread) "Exceptionally safe even in the wet" :-o

    Aquaplaning = curb and plenty of damage

    Well last night really topped off a crap day at work, i was coming out of the car park and turned a corner to end up aquaplaning on a huge puddle i hadn't noticed and hit the opposite curb. A loud bang and a bit of a jump over the curb, was followed by a nasty hissing noise. On inspection...
