clacking or clunking

I have developed a clacking noise when I go over a bump with the O/S front wheel It just makes a single 'CLACK' more so on small bumps or rough road surface rather than big bumps Not had a chance to have look myself Not sure if it is the suspension, sounds too light if you know what I mean...
