    Liceo CD player

I've just bought a Liceo CD player off ebay, with code, but when it powers up, the display stays blank. CD eject mechanism works ok and the red lights ok, but no function or display. Is this a security mechanism like my Leon tape player where you have to leave it powered up for a fixed time...
