mottled or fading

Has anyone else had a problem witht he paintwork fading? Its metallic red and on the bonnet the paint has started to look a bit mottled, has anyone else had this? I am thinking of getting it sprayed and the rest of the car mopped at the same time, is this the only option? Can I try any...
