rocker cover

Hi All, Hope all is well, am doing my cam cover gasket tomorrow on Leon Mk1 05 Cupra R and wondered should i be using sealant top and bottom of the gasket all the around or just on the side bits. Issue I find is eventually it always leaks down the back no matter what. What have other people...
