I have a 08 Leon FR and I am looking to purchase a full set of mudflaps, is it best to go to a dealer or does anyone have a better supplier they have used, I only want quality flaps.

Dealers only for these, Do you have sideskirts?? If so the front ones won`t fit. There are dealers on ebay that sell of go through the dealer section on here and you may get a discount but by the time you add the cost of posting it will come to similar or more than your local dealer. If you live miles away then postage will probably be best.
Front flaps are 1P0075111 at £35 rear are 1P0075101 and also £35 list price:banned: I paid £57 the set at my dealers 10 months ago so the price must have gone up:confused:
Still they do fit perfect I suppose... You wouldn`t want to put crap ones on a £17000 car either:blink:

 £70 for four 6 inch pieces of plastic is just ridiculous. I do want some on my car but I can't bring myself to pay that much. I bet they cost pence to make.

SEAT increased the rrp by over a fiver a pair  I have proper flaps on the rear of mine but had to use cheap 'n' nastys on the front because of the skirts.

do we get mud flaps that work mon the Aerokit too?
Std ones don't fit.... I tried

no luck there either - for such a popular mod, SEAT have missed out bigtime by not making suitable mudflaps . . . . .

THANKS FOR THAT, I COULD REALLY DO WITH A SET OF REARS AS MY DRIVE TO WORK IS DOWN FAST AND WINDING LANES IN DERBYSHIRE AND THE REAR TYRES LOVE TO THROW PEBBLES AND SMALL STONES UP MY LOVELY RED REAR BUMPER! YOU SAY THE FRONTS DON'T FIT, HOW DID YOU GET AROUND THIS AS THE FRONTS ARE AS IMPORTANT TO ME?

Got a price for a set of front and rear mudflaps today from Trade Part Specialists in Derby through the garage at work, I also had a touch up stick as well, the total cost inc vat was £57.80 which is about £11 cheaper than the dealers quote. As I have no side side skirts both front and rear flaps should be on for the weekend. Thanks all for the advice.

TPS buy parts off VAG at the same cost as any dealer but they are placed to discount parts in order to encourage customers to buy genuine parts. Shows how greedy most dealers are - we must be one of the few exceptions lol Glad you got sorted at sensible money.

Rear mudflaps

Hi all,

I picked up a pair of used Mk2 Leon rear flaps off Ebay for <£10 inc delivery :), but doubt they have the fixings. Is it just self tapping screws or would I need to contact SEAT for a fixing kit?

Thanks in advance.

all you need is standard self tappers slightly longer than the screws you remove from the splashguards. offer up the mudflaps and it will be obvious which screws need to come out to allow fitting.

hey , looking for some advice, i have a seat leon fr tdi cr 170 60plate, and i was wondering what mud flaps you would recommend, it doesn't have side skirts.
appreciate any response. Matt
