1.2 tdi in tank fuel filter leak

Newby to forum with diesel fuel leak from circular section on underneath of fuel tank. I think this must be an in tank fuel pump & filter. A Google search shows it as a recall due to tendency of a connector to break. Does anybody know how to go about removing the unit from the tank?

I wouldn't touch it if its a recall i wouod have seat sort it. See if they cover cost of a tow due danger of driving with leaking fuel.
