I visited west midlands safari park today and noticed that whilst moving slowly around the safari park that the revs of the car were not dropping below 900 rpm when stationary.
I did not have the air con on so it wasn't because of that.
I noticed that if I blipped the throttle to rev the car slightly that most times the revs would drop to normal (around 600rpm). This was only happening after driving slowly in first gear but would not rectify itself unless I revved the car.
It's a 2012 Leon 1.2 tsi se copa with 2600 miles on the clock and has recently had its recall for the power steering and wastegate actuator.
Any ideas???

You sure your engine just wasn't a bit hot, when I went (+1 the fly ride :)) my car was getting well pissed off driving so slow and it being a warmish day.

I think that if the cooling fan kicks in after ticking over for a bit the revs go up to compensate for the extra drain on the battery from the fans.

Or your engine is fooked :D
