I've seen on the net there is a common problem with the timing chains or tensioners on these tsi engines, but I cant find anything specific to the single charged 1.4, 120 odd bhp version.
Does anyone have info on exactly what the problem is and what needs done to rectify it?
Reason being I seem to be getting the rattle occasionally on the first few seconds after starting up.
Is it purely a case of changing the tensioner on this engine? I've seen mentions of cover plates and other parts needing done as well. If anyone has a guide or parts list of what I need it would be appreciated.
