1.5 tsi rattle daca

Hi.

i have a seat leon with the 1.5 TSI daca engine.
When revving up the engine i can hear a metallic rattle come from the engine/underneath. The noise sounds almost like a bearing spinning . Cannot hear it while holding at a fixed Rpm only when revving up. Cannot hear it whilst driving.

car has 50k on the clock 2019 model

There was a similar rattle on my wife's TDi. Dealer changed the timing chain and turbo but years later it turned out to be a bit of metal on the bulkhead vibrating. Took ages to find.

I will prod around the bulk head and have a look. I dont think its timing belt as the engine itself sound healthy. Do you know anything about the turbo actuators?

Doesn't make a noise if it sticks. It could be so many things, that's why it's so hard to pin down. Took me two years! Seat and an independant garage both misdiagnosed it.

As said could be many things, but most turbo attractors rattle on this engine rattle..

Does the sound sound like metal on metal or like a dry bearing spinning?
