yeah agreed, a remap is a first step but after that your looking at bigger money, like different turbo etc. Theres quite a bit of stuff about PD100 tuning in the relevant TDI section from memory, have a look back through as the PD100 is the same as the 105 essentially.

Stew that's incorrect. The 105 variant is more based around the old 130 engine and thus has stronger internals than the 100pd.

Hey guys,
my old man took a chance with one of his cars (Which hes still got) a 1.9tdi VW Passat
115bhp.
We found a company called "Superchips" Selling pre-set performance chips. and surprisingly they were VERY good.
I admit we haven't had the car hasnt been dyno'd to check the power but me and my father both noticed an instant change in performance, it really does have a fair bit more oomph at the same power bands. (According to super chip the car's power should be boosted to 165Bhp)
He uses it for work so keeps a log of the milage, and we're gettin an extra 75 miles or so outta the tank now aswell.
The chip cost us approx £500 and they fitted it aswell. That was a good few years ago, 3 or four i cant remember.
They still do chips for it

I dont know if its the same chip or not but its a bit cheaper (£391) and i definitly would reccomend them. Probably best to speak to them first through

Re the superchips comment above, there hasnt been too much good feedback about them in the past on here, have a search back through for previous comments. Other tuners seem to have faired better.

Dom, been covered many times before. Invest some of your time in reading back through the TDI and TDI Tuning sections and doing a couple of searches. There are several recommended remappers with people posting their comments in several past threads.

i sold diesel tuning units for 6 years mainly on ebay which is not an easy enviroment to sell on,i stopped selling last jan but have changed to a alhambra 1.9tdi 130hp ,i have just fitted a digital pd unit and i am very impressed so far ,the unit is tuv approved and comes with a 3 year warranty .for anyone interested i am so impressed i am away to start selling again,these units are made in italy and are not the cheap chinese type that are flooded on ebay now ,they do not plug in to the fuel temp sensor like the £20 ones
