12 v battery not charging ⚠️⚠️

So on my way to work this morning my Leon cupra 300 threw up a warning light saying
12v battery not charging. Stop vehicle safety
? My pants and came home ? by the time I got home the light was off ??‍ waiting for my mechanic to wake up ? could it be my alternator?

Yea poss alternator fault. He’ll probably check the battery voltage is right and then turn the car on to make sure the alternator raises the battery voltage to confirm it’s charging mate. And then go from there. Sod’s law it won’t had saved any faults on the ecu for that fault and you’ll have to keep a eye on it. Let us know how you got on please.

Could be something as simple as a “glitch” especially as it cleared.
Have you tried it again to see if the fault is reoccurring.
Or has your mechanic woke up and sorted it

Alternator, or battery condition sensor and wiring for stop start throwing a wobbly?
