185BHP Alhambra

When I was looking at us becoming REVO agents I came up against a bit of resistance from my father-in-law David, he owns the business and his opinion was that there wasn't the demand for engine re-mapping. However, I arranged a site visit by REVO, they explained the benefits in terms of economy and performance and whilst here they re-mapped the Alhambra 140TDI that David drives, David subsequently agreed for us to become REVO agents.

I usually drive a Leon Cupra but as I was going away with the wife, kids, dog, golf clubs etc last week I borrowed David's REVO'd Alhambra. What a car! I driven Alhambras thousands of miles over the last decade or so but I've never driven one like this, economy was better than I've ever had out of an Alhambra, that little flat spot that tends to catch you out in the wrong gear just at the wrong time has disappeared, acceleration in every gear, including 6th, is staggering, the number of gearchanges must be cut by at least 20% as it pulls like a train throughout the rev range, in short its a fantastic improvement and if you think I'm just spinning a line I challenge you to come here, borrow it for hour and then tell me how amazed you are. I've been in this business a hell of a long time and it takes a lot of car to impress me but this REVO'd MPV certainly has.

HI how much this remapping cost, and what can you do to a 90bhp s reg Alhambra.

Nice to here that. I luv my remapped Altea 140bhp, it even wheel spins in 4th in the wet! the TDI 140 engine is a great engine for performance gains through a remap.

the 90bhp engine however is somewhat restricted to gains on a remap usually 20%-25% extra bhp.

Want to remap our Touran but not sure the wife would like it. Its 140 now so not bad. But then there's so many things i want to buy for mine :) How much is it for the 2.0tdi? £399+vat? :)

Yes £399 + VAT and believe me your wife would love it. Having a REVO re-map isn't just about extra speed, in normal day to day driving conditions as a consequence of the increase in power and perhaps more importantly, torque, the car becomes far more pleasant and relaxing to drive with loads less gearchanging and usually a significant improvement in economy. Then of course, when you want to just blow away the annoying little **** sitting right up your chuff in a Corsa SRi the power is there, ready and waiting to put a huge grin on your face and make him think twice about taking on a diesel family bus again!:p

I've lowered my bhp to 150 from 175 to see if it would save petrol and it's doing the exact same. I'm getting 75 miles to 10£. Does that seem to be normal or should I do something about it
