2.0FSI Fuel economy

Hi,

My wifes 54'plate 2.0 FSI Altea never seems to get the range I would expect on a full tank, struggle to get 300miles out of it and rarely can get 30mpg+.

What's everyone else getting on this engine? Any clue as to why it's not gettin more, some times feels a little sluggish, could it be a lazy injector or fuel pump issue?

Cheers

Over the last 80k miles or so our auto 2.0FSI has run at just over 30mpg overall with a very mixed use. Expect to get 35-36 on a run at 70ish mph, but have seen close to 40 driving carefully on a relatively gentle (60-70 on motorway) run. Around town in winter will be a struggle to get anywhere near 30.

On a full tank I will get 375-420miles. average mpg on ecomomy runs around 35.
sounds like a tuning issue. talk to a garage an have the laptop plugged in for a diagnostic maybe?

2.0 TFSI economy

I have a 2.0 TFSI DSG with 60k on clock.

Local (rural) driving gets somewhere between 25 to 28mpg (on the computer). It does go like **** of a chromium plated shovel though.

If I drive like a vicar on longer runs it creeps up to mid 30's.
