Away washing the car
Looking around for a turbo upgrade to produce roughly 220-240hp on my 2.0tdi, without paying the ridiculous Darkside prices on the kits they offer. At the moment, I’ve only really found one contender which is the XMAN GTC1556vz Hybrid Turbo, and wondered if anyone has pushed decent power out of this platform and could even give some helpful tips or information. Cheers!

Looking at doing the same but !! One of your earlier post you said you deleted the egr and dpf how did it get putting through the m.o.t ? Did you remove them or just take the inside out ? Was looking at the dpf deleted pipe from darkside and a race dpf filter ...

Yes I have no dpf, it was cut out, but my cat is still in place, never had any questions asked when it went for MOT, but I do slightly know the owner of the garage which kind of helped (I think). Will be getting a 2.5” downpipe made up with dummy cat in place after Lockdown. Best turbo upgrade deal I have found at the moment is through Narco Tuning which consists of turbo upgrade, 4 bar map sensor, tuning and labour for £1500 inc vat. Long drive for me to get there though. Saving money for it as it would be great to be in the 230-240hp range with 450nm

I'm in the process of having my xman turbo gtc1556vz fitted alongside an uprated s3 intercooler, 2.25 cat back exhaust (enough to achieve what I'm looking for) 300+ bhp then you would be looking at 3" system.A CP3 pump, stock air filter (foam panel filter loses performance tried and tested).

With the stock clutch hoping to achieve 260-270bhp @ 500NM before hitting the injector limit at 280bhp. The CP4 pump which are common on the CR platform are good for 250bhp before you hit the wall with them.

Let us know how you get on with the Xman turbo mate! I had a look at him before. Sounds like a good project, interested to see where this goes!
