Currently looking at purchasing a Seat LEON 2.0 TDI CR FR 2010 model and wondered if these cars are also affected by the DPF issues I have read so much about on here before.

No. The CR engines are designed to work with the DPF so I don't know any that have had problems. Don't get me wrong the night regen once in a while but nothing like the DPF on the PD engines. You will be fine mate.

My commute is a approx 3 miles of urban and 8 miles of Dual Carriageway A Road (approx 60-70mph) and I get 50mpg if taking it easy, 40-45mpg if I'm in a rush 
CR was designed with the DPF rather than having it as an after thought so it has very very few issues, if any.

I've had mine since Sept 09 and have never had any issues with the DPF, I never even noticed regen and neither have I had any issues with it at all to be honest mate. It did about 10 - 15 000 miles on stage 1 as well witt the DPF still there and still noticed no issues But had the delete pipe put in for stage 2! It seems pretty bomb proof so I wouldn't worry about anything mate!
Bit late, but I've had mine since May 2013 and done 32k miles in it with no DPF issues. Currently running stage 1 with DPF still in place and still no issues so far.
MPG wise I get around 45mpg actual. The trip computer is really inaccurate on mine and regularly says I get over 50mpg.

My dpf was fooked after 75k on my 59 plate. The regens were constant and horrendous. The stealer actually paid for dpf delete and remap ! Best thing ever, better mpg up to high 50s and 207bhp and lots of torque. Downside it eats front tyres and its a handful in the wet.
I'd put that down to the shower of **** dealer you bought it from. I don't know anyone who's had a half decent experience buying from Bristol street Darlington, don't know how they're still in business to be quite honest. Wouldn't use them for anything...
Happy to sell crap cars, cars less than a year old with accident damage repair to main crash zones on the car etc.
Agree with bristol street being shite I had to tell them what eas wrong everytime and how to fix it. Ive still got the noise from the front plastic boots when turning which is apparently unfixable . Seat uk still dealing with this! I thought I was getting a good car as im the first owner apart from seat who probably ragged the tits off it! At the min only ptob I have is at 4k revs 3rd 4th n 5th I get a flat spot since remap tho im thinking of going down the golf gti or c class c250d .
Yeah it scans all aspects of the car so any fault codes will be found.
Will look into that as my passenger side centre vent is always warmer than the others.
