just bought a Seat Ibiza 2011 1.2 tdi ecomotive, was sold as non runner due to immobiliser problem, seller assured me he had not tampered, remap attempt ect, although tbh Im more inclined to believe someones been meddling with things they know nothing about, got the car home and scanned with VCDS , 16239 - Engine Control Module Incorrectly Coded looks to be the main problem, although a few other dtcs are stored also, how do i go about troubleshooting and rectifying?? Ive only got VCDS and Autocom for diagnosis at the moment, attached scan result

a user on another forum was kind enough to provide this coding 00114016030401080000 which i was told i can use in vcds, but i cant find any info how to accomplish it, hope someone can give me a bit of a walkthrough with this

thanks

well i tried this code, and then also just tried using long code helper and selecting my cars parameters, and with both I get Error 31, Out of Range, anyone got any ideas how to proceed to overcome this?

Current code is 0000000000...?

Are you coding with car not running and ignition on?

yes, car off ignition on only, and yup coding is well, all zeros, hence why i think someones messed it up with diag tools, if you look at the serial number also, there some strange symbols/characters that clearly should not be there

Im not an expert but if it was me I would try to find an used ECU

example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325104913165?epid=657943024&hash=item4bb1c34b0d:g:CPEAAOSwsvxiMlQI
Im going to go down the remote coding using 5054 head (just ordered a 5054, be here in next 10 days), and online GEKO Server , try that on this ecu 1st, as getting a used ecu would also require recoding of the immo ect to the replacement ecu anyhow i believe, not plug and play im lead to believe

Probably will need recode but apparently your current ECU has some problem that cant be recoded anymore.

I recoded modules before and you doing it the correctly, with ignition on and engine not running, enter module and then 07 - Coding if I remember correctly.
