I wasn't keen at first but it's grown on me.

I was thinking I don't want it to look like an Ibiza as I'm not keen on them, but the more I thought about it the less this bothers me.

Sure I'd like it to be a departure and a design of it's own, but, having taken more notice of Ibizas around town since seeing this new Leon I think they would look better lower, wider and more squat, which is what this is.

Looking forward to the 3 door.

To be honest I don't like it too much. That being said, I agree with you, it's sort of like a rip off of the Audi A3 and perhaps the three-door will be a rip off of the Audi A1 since they basically have the same front, especially headlights.

Also hiding the rear door handles made the Mk2 sort of special, and now they ruined that, but I'm guessing that's because they might as well be releasing a 3-door version of it and they wouldn't want people confused or something, not sure.

Anyway we'll have to wait and see. Anybody know an exact release date?

Not too impressed with the look of the new mark III Leon. :(Disappointed really, as I feel SEAT have played very safe and not really gone with anything along the lines of some of the concept photos we have seen previously. They have obviously done away with the hidden door release on the 5-door so as not to detract from the 3-door version when it comes out. Be interesting to see what that looks like when they release it in March 2013. Overall though I dontl think this mark III version is as good looking as the current model. Only plus point is it looks like it has a better quality and better laid out interior. Pity as I have had Leon's now for 10yrs. Currently got the CR FR diesel and it's a cracking car. Hope the 3 door can sway me as otherwise I might convert to a Scirocco next year?! :whistle:B-Man, Guildford

It's definitely growing on me, liking the pointed down lights. All LED too which is nice.

As for the 'hidden' door handles on the Mk2, they were done years before on the Alfa 147, they weren't original and to be honest, I never liked how it makes the windows on the Mk2 stick in.

The 3 door Mk3 won't look like an A1 as it's not going to be a smaller class than the 5 door just 3 doors. The Astra GTC VXR looks fantastic though so it's gonna have to do something pretty special.

Iam undecided.

Looks like a cross between an Audi and a Honda civic.

Guess you need to see it in the flesh to make a final decision

That has grown on me very quickly, wasn't keen at first but totally changed my mind on it now. If that's the direction that SEAT are taking their cars then that's fine by me, it looks a lot smarter interior wise than the Mk2, and as previously said I think the LEDs look spot on.

It looks like the new Astra to me.

I think the same!
I have just bought a Supercopa and think it is a stunning looking car.
Looking at the mk3 I think the Supercopa will be the last new Seat I will every buy.:(
