my 2000 mk3 cupra is doing 22 mpg on average according to the computer anyone else getting any better figures? its got stage one remap and an induction kit. i have also seen 5 mpg when flooring it. wtf?

What mpg do you expect to see when flooring it? Doubt you would see beyond 8-9?? altho I cant say to be sure as some knob put the wrong head unit in my car so I dont have the option of viewing mpg

look at my location. busy city drivin, i dont tend to drive like a maniac. but i dont drive like miss daisy either. does it sound about right. or do i have to get the wallet out again?
Im averaging 31 with town driving and motorway driving every day, and i dont hang about either.

I was on a 7 hour drive all motorway a few weeks back and after a bit of scribbling on paper i only managed about 35mpg so i would say 22 around town sounds about right??
I do majority town driving to work and thats rush hour driving and a quite night drive home... i usually see 27-28 mpg. All down to your driving style, dont be heavy with your riught foot and you'll see that these cars car be very economical IF driven sensibly! But rag it in traffic and you'll be lucky to see anything over 18mpg

Have a search this is heavily covered, I get 34 average on motorways, much much less elsewhere. 310 miles per full tank usually.

I use mine every day around town, and give it some every now and then and always seem to get around 32mpg.
Tend to get 280ish miles to a tank around town if i leave it right to the end of the tank.
I've seen 40mpg on a long motorway run.

mines on 18.9 on the average display that's taking my time tonight and town driving! guess i need to definitely replace my coil packs and service asp.The other day when i was doing town driving it was doing like 23mpg

in town and motorway (around 50/50) i get an average of 33 at the moment. thats an average over 800 miles!
Think mine was telling me porkys yesterday, filled up tank... drove just over 40 miles and it said i had 540 miles left in tank! was doing an average of 50.8 mpg driving leeds, so far ive done ~200miles with just over half tank left but now im running more power than i was when i was driving up leeds....
