Anyone know where I could buy just the ignition coil to distributor lead (I can only find full sets and not an individual lead)?

I've just had a new ignition coil fitted courtesy of the RAC (my car died during the heavy rain when I hit a deep water filled pothole - checked/cleaned everywhere for water but found coil at fault - coincidence or what?).

Anyway, he noted that the coil to distributor lead was the wrong type (fittings on each end aren't correct ones - checked on the BERU website and it looks like the lead I'm after is VA 117 A, 40cm long with "saw tooth" and not "SAE" fittings - http://www.beru.com/english/produkt...(6K1)&typ=2.0+i+16V&ktypnr=7891&action=step04).

SEAT parts seem to be exactly that, where each individual component of the lead is numbered rather than the whole lead.

Car runs fine but I would like to fit the correct lead.

Thanks for any help.

Driving me nuts too. :wtf: Searched everywhere for just the one lead.

Found cheap sets for about £40, so looks like I'll use the coil lead straight away and keep the plug leads as spares (leave the original red leads in place for as long as possible).
