and he made 6.2 0-100
so i think there is a problem with my car
im going to test this on the dyno but first i want to check if someone heard about something like that

Thx for your comment MantaOwner

Doesn't the new cupra come with manual tranny?
If so, maybe you need to improve your shifting.
Then, if you always race from a dig there are traction issues as well.
To see if you have any engine problems go from a high roll with only one gear against another cupra (say 3rd 100km/h) so there's no traction or shifting involved.
That's gonna help you figure out if there are any issues.

This is good advice.

To match manufacturers figures you do have to be pretty brutal and be on a fairly grippy surface. Personally I wouldn't do it. I'd do it as suggested in a single gear. You might still get variations due to turbo lag differences between cars that you will have watch out for.

Mine is at 252hp after stage1 APR with 98 octan, feels different beast :)
1st gear is almost impossible to start race with, 2nd gear you can stay on 70kmh press on brake+gas(if you have APR) build the pressure in the turbo and release the beast :)..

252hp is quite something. How many miles have you done and what is your 0-100 time? What about the warranty?

well I am only at 1150 miles over +- the APR was done only after 700 miles.
Before that I had to drive 500 miles with restrictions - "don't pass the 3.5KRPM for 500 miles" from the dealer store :(

yes that will avoid the warranty(as long as the malfunction will be due to that) but before going to the dealer APR is removing the SW and after it installing it back (we also have certified garages that will look on the other way :)

About the 0-100, it is hard to check, the wheels keep lose grip :/ . need to find good asphalt + cold day to really check the time from 0-100km or 0-60miles :)
I have 2 other friends with Leaon FR that did the APR, need to race them from 0 and from rolling...

Yes you do and launches generally are bad for tranny, tires etc...

Congrats! It's nice to see modded cupras. Really nice figures for just a tune. Is the engine the same as Leon's 1.8 tsi?
Don't get me started on spinning.
I have hybrid turbo (around 300bhp) and I easily spin 3rd gear. Without properly heated tires I spin up to 100km/h. I rarely do launches.
Where do you live?

I live in Israel :) not a cheap place..
Yes it is the same engine as the leon FR 1.8

What car do you have and what is hybrid turbo ?

Nice.
I have the previous cupra with the 1.4TSI and DSG (2010 model).
Hybrid turbo is considered stage 3 for these engines. You basically fit larger wheels in the stock turbo housing.
You usually fit a k04 in the stock k03 and there are different options available. Most people fit either the k04-023 turbo wheels (from 1.8 20vt like the mk1 audi s3) or the larger k04-064 wheels (from 2.0TFSI like the mk2 s3).
In case you have stage 2 and get bored with the power a hybrid turbo is a cheap and easy way to get some more hp. I chose the smaller k04-023 because it's safer for the turbo than the k04-064. In terms of acceleration stage 3 on our cars is k04 2.0TFSIs (audi tts, leon cupra, audi s3, gti edition 30) stage 2+ territory.
I'm currently deliberating between going big turbo (about 450bhp) or buying a totally different car.

Hahaha :D maybe but there's no contest.
I've had this username before I even bought my car, it's got nothing to do with it.
Anyway back to the thread, have you considered improving the car further?
What are the figures for a stage 2?

Stage 2 will add about 20hp but it is not worth it for the bucks..
For know this is it.. the car is still under warranty and stage 2 is something that they will see...
