I have been suffering with rubbing wipers since day one of having my FR. I have replaced them with brand new ones and scrubbed the screen with Autoglym glass cleaner but no joy.
The only thing left I can think of is physically adjusting the angle of the blade.
Does anyone know how to do this on the Leon?
Thanks

Mine did this so I rubbed them down with meths to take off and grease or oil on the wiper blade and they have been fine since

did clean the blades but only with car shampoo & toothbrush, so nothing to loose other than try a solvent...

Ill be giving this a go too - mine are horrendously noisey - no rubbing or squeeking while moving accross the screen, but on the change over form down to up at the bottom of the screen they make a real racket

My left (nearside) wiper leaves a lovely arc of water from the outside tip as it moves upwards - annoying!

Any cure for that?

none that i no of they all do that if you mean the thin line. I take it using vinegar didnt work? I wouldnt be too keen to use meth on them tho.

You could maybe try some Rainex or similar? I've not had any problems with mine. Do you use cheapo wiper blades? I got some replacement flat blades for the wifes Clio. They were just generic ones and they rubbed and squeaked. Replaced them with Bosch and no noise at all.

i thought rainex made it squeak? well mine are from new and sometimes they squeak sometimes they dont depends on where the car has been resting as well (what kinds of crap landing on it sap etc)

I thought that Rainex was supposed to make a more slippery surface? I've never used it but my father in law has a 1962 Austin Healey and swears by the stuff but you can't hear anything in that think once the V6 is running.

As long as you are not soaking them it should be fine. Never tried vinegar before, weak acid...interesting, Im sure the principle is the same - trying to dissolve something on the blade surface. Meths will be more reactive

Rain x is good stuff but doesnt last very long - Aquapell is another product that does the same but last alot longer before u need to re apply. Not as readily available as rain x though

Thanks for the suggestions. Will give them a try.
By the way, the wipers I got were from SEAT and made exactly no difference.
