I know lots of places that do cheap work, but the trouble with spraying is, you get what you pay for and if I'm honest, I'd rather buy a scratched car over one with an obvious cheap respray.

You should now realistically only get a respray if you have lots of stonechips/scratches which have passed the paint on your car (i.e. you see the base coat underneat).

If you have wash swirls, oxidisation (dull paint) or minor scratches/etchings which have not penetrated the paintwork through to base coat, a professional detail would be a better and cheaper alternative giving a finish just as good as a respray and certainly better than a cheap respray. Please look at my signature if you need further info.

Cheers.

The problem with that is almost every panel on my car would need something doing to it, either touching paint up or popping dents out..

The guy who had the car before me didn't care for it very well.

I got quoted about £500 over a couple of months to get it all sorted but for certain reasons i've not contacted the guy again.

£500 - very cheap, as said before you get what you pay for very much so! just make sure you look at the persons work before hand, just make sure you get it painted a special colour! different is great my mate has just got it painted in a fiat goldey colour and the results are amazing!

Thought I'd bump this thread to see if anyone else can add to it?

I need to get both front and rear bumpers sprayed, so does anyone know of a decent body shop in the midlands? Not really looking for a super expensive job so someplace cheap?

Thanks,

Dre

place I went to is cheap but as said, you gets what you pays for, I have a bit of over spray on the window 'rubber' and on the inside of the tailgate on the rubbers (clips for the parcel shelf etc) altho' saying that, the guy pointed it out immediately and undercharged me on what we originally agreed..

way i see it now, my car looks 'better' than it did..at least its green now instead of green/silver/primer...
