Just bought some reverse sensors, has anyone fitted some and have they been fitted around the grey/black plastic trim on the rear bumper? Am looking at putting mine there as don't want to cut into bumper !!

I think the problem with putting all 4 sensors around the black plastic trim is that you're not going to get good coverage on the corners. Whether it is still good enough is hard to say without actually trying but if it's not acceptable you'd have already butchered the piece of trim.

These are some aftermarket Valeo ones fitted to the Leon and are in almost the same place as the factory fitted ones (the corner ones look to be in the same place while the centre ones seem to be a little further in)...

Some cars have the OEM parking sensor fitting locations marked on the back of the bumper so you may find the Leon is the same meaning you would just need to drill holes through at those locations. The only problem with putting aftermarket ones in the bumper is that they are usually black so are best painted the same colour as the bumper to avoid looking out of place.

I have aftermarket ones In the rear valance . They were already fitte when I bought the car.

They work very well and provide quite a good coverage around the rear of the car
