hi all i am sort of new to the site and guess what as soon as i start talking to y'all the car starts acting up again ,
rite here is what she keeps doing, it revs on its own up to about 2000 then drops again (pain in the arse in traffic it makes my lass look like she cant drve) i have had it shuttled and on the diagnostics to no avail the 3.2 braided hose from the ecu was perished so i replaced that still no better the guy in the shop is a diamond geezer he said i can take it back and put it on the machine for free as he had another car (same car just kiwi green) in a few days earlier and it had the same issues he fixed that one but not ours has anybody had this and what is the way to fix it ,sooo glad to find more people with seats nothing but saxo's and nova's were i live

Could be a throttle body issue, clean out the butterfly valve where the airfeed connects to the top of the engine. Caused mine to rev sporadically

Yeh its your throttle body/idle control valve. Ive had the problem before and its come back now, i just havent had time to clean it again.

i had the same prob mate in the 16valve ld ed modle,eh what i found was b4 i put the supersprint exhaust on the cat was actually shedded to bits inside causing he engin to choke an splutter,also chech the joins in hose connections, one last one that you might not think of is the n/s engin mount could be damaged causing the engin to rock more bending or blocking hoses!
