airbox help please

i am new to the leon and have changed the standard airbox for a BMC CDA, i am now left with a small tube hanging, can anybody tell me what the tube is for, and whether it is ok to just leave it hanging?

It's the intake for the Secondary Air Pump. You need to put a small filter on the end of it.

Any chance of some photos mate? Where does the other end of the pipe go?

yeh its a cupra (180) no photos at minute mate as i wouldnt know how to upload them haha

You'll need to host them elsewhere (photobucket etc.) then link to them.

thats just your breather pipe mate, Like my Carbonio, you should have been supplied like a mini air filter which fits onto the end of the pipe and then you just cable tie it to somewhere in the engine bay

i should have, but i bought the airbox off a friend. any ideas where i will get this little filter from?

I'd take a look at K&N's website mate they have a huge selection of unversal air filters

I would go to BMC CDA direct and ask if they could supply you one?

but yeah if bmc can supply you with one i would definately go with them.
but not sure they have a british HQ do they so it can be a little teedious sometimes.

Haven't I seen people using Mini-Moto air filters for this very job...eBoo is where i'd look for them if these can be used...
