Hi all, anyone know where the sensor/switch is located for the tail gate as mine is not staying under pressure when boot is closed. Result is alarm goes off as car thinks boot has been opened. As for the bonnet my switch is not lined up well and I can only make it work by pressing it down with a screwdriver. Otherwise car thinks it's not closed properly, Result is indicators don't blink when locking, alarm does not chirp although it still sets. Anyone ever changed this switch, any ideas welcome,
cheers
Olly

Yup i can get to it but it seems to float on a springy piece of metal and lining it up so that the contact is trapped and makes good contact is proving near impossible. Do you know if it should be floating as it is?

Is it definatly the bonnet switch that's causing the problem? I had similar problems a dew months ago, my lights would flash but wouldnt chirp, turned out to be switch in one of doors that wasn't locking when it should have been.

for sure bonnet, have tested with bonnet up and a screw driver holding switch down and all works fine, touble is when you close bonnet the bonnet release retracts in and is meant to make contact with the switch, mine seems impossible to position correctly. As said above it seems to float and there's nothing to hold it still. So when there's meant to be pressure on the switch, it's minimal as it moves too much.
I'm stumped.
