Alhambra Sump Plug Doesn't tighten

The sump plug on my Alhmbra doesn't tighten and is leaking. Is likely to have stripped to sump thread or is it possible it may just be the plug itself?

more chance that the sump thread has failed. you can get a helicoil repair kit so fingers crossed you don't need a new sump.

I've seen people talk about Helicoil they're about £50, there are RE-threading kits around too for half that price! I think I'll try that
