I have an alpine Cd changer and am wondering whether or not it will work with my ibiza. It has an 8 Pin din plug so does anyone know if there are any adapters that will make it compatible with the ibiza standard wire? I've had a look on the net but can't seem to find anything. Rob

Hey, i also (stupidly) bought an Alpine CD changer for my Ibiza sport (2000) but have since been told that the standard head unit can't read the data from the changer. I'm looking into selling it on eBay + probably buying the iPod connector for the HU...

load of bollox !!!

i have this in my car and it works fine !

you can buy the necassary converter box on its own.

having 6 cd's on 1 MP3 cd and having a 6 cd changer.. so 6 x 6 = 36 cd's means i rearly have to change my music!

Fitting a non-standard headunit was definately the best thing I ever did to my ibiza, the sound quality from the original headunit is 30% of the new headunits sound quality. It was also the simple in comparison the lengthy efforts required to fit a CD changer.

hey i finally got round to putting in the Alpine mp3 changer & buying the adapter that you (adam) recommended but the HU isn't playing the CDs - the changer keeps looking for CDs in the cassette but isn't playing them ...any ideas?
