Altea XL Alarm problems

Hi all,

Recently got a new Altea XL 1.9 SE TDi DSG. Really pleased with it and currently touring the Highlands of Scotland. Beautiful roads for a great car. Just one little fly in the ointment....

Sometimes I need to leave my small dog in the car whilst me and my beloved nip into a local hostelry. The first time I did this the alarm sounded! Don't worry I told my wife, of course I can disable the alarm so that we can leave our mutt in the motor. Looked in the handbook to no avail.

Can anyone tell me how to disable the alarm, please. I don't want to leave the car unlocked for the whole holiday.......

Cheers,

Greyrider.

Pressing the locking button twice should disable the interior sensors so the Dog shouldn't trigger the alarm.

Doors will be locked, but not deadlocked and the alarm will still be active on the door contacts.

Thank you very much Craig Senior. Wife and dog happy. Now I can get on with enjoying Sport mode on the DSG box.......
