Hi Guys

Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a brake light out, the one on the inside of the car rather than the boot, which basically is all melted and therefore won't maintain a connection in the housing.

Does anyone know of an after market supplier of these parts? I have tried and I am not really finding any results. Im sure if I go direct to Seat it will be an arm and a leg. Unless its all one unit the actual housing or for want of the actual name, the light covers which produce the red, white and yellow lights are fine.

TIA

Phill

Melted? Sounds odd shouldn't melt? maybe the brake light switch was stuck causing the bulb to remain on? As brake bulbs burn hotter and are designed for short bursts of illumination perhaps?

Btw there is an altea xl breaking on eBay atm. There isn't any damp penetrating the light cluster? my o/s cluster has water collecting in the indicator at bottom, I just drilled a tiny drain hole, I don't kno if these clusters suffer with damp issues but maybe cud cause a short?

Hi guys

Thanks for getting back to me. I am going to have a go at removing this to expose the damage, or at least get the camera in there to take a picture. Ill share the picture then to show you what I mean.

Thanks again.
