Amber Engine Warning Light

Hey guys, first post here. Just picked up my Mk2 FR+ yesterday.

When I turn the car on without starting the engine, the battery warning light appears (which from a quick read of the manual is normal until the car starts?)

But I also have a constant amber Engine Warning light, but that comes off when I actually start the engine. Should I be worried?

No. When you turn the ignition on all lights will appear but many will disappear, the rest disappear when you start the engine unless there's an issue which they won't.
