Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any special offers going on at the moment suitable for Altea 2.0 TDI 140bhp?

I really don’t want to pay any more than £250  (insert laughter) but I just find it really hard to comprehend & justify paying any more. Any one able to quote me happy?

BTW I’m on the Peterborough area.

I paid over £400 for my old Revo map... and it was worth every penny.

You are paying for 2 main things - the research & development time required to setup your map in the first place, and the most economic way of tuning your car!

Even if you were to pay £400, you'll be guaranteed approx. 40BHP and 50lb/ft increases - how else could you achieve that for similar money?

If you are in the Peterborough area why not try Jabbasport, they may not be the cheapest but they have a good reputation and if you have any problems they are local.

Your so right about what you say, but too expensive. I'll be cheaky & see if they will price match. Not holding my breath though

Thanks for the tip.

hey bog

as you have a remap at 179.5bhp are you running a standard clutch?

if so do you get any slip.

I only very rarely get slip if I drive it stupidly - ie booting it in 4th from low revs etc.
It is a fairly new clutch though - the original shattered after 26k, so this one has about 2.5k on it.

ChippedUK offer a custom remap that could deal with this if that worries you.

wow, chippeduk have a dealer local to me. What kind of money do they charge for a remap? (Only got a TDI 110)

Just checked out their website, and scarily I'm getting a Trojan / Downloader Virus alert!

What your browser is trying to do is download a microsoft addon that allows the web site in question, the ability to display fancy menus & other stuff. Google "Remote Data Services Data Control" to get more information.

We are having a remap meet down in Rayleigh Essex on May 5th and TDI remap prices will be £250. We are an authorised Chipped UK dealer so our files will be identical to theirs as will be the results.

On top of that if we get to remap more than 10 cars on the day, there is a raffle for a Brand new in its box H7 6500K HID kit which is worth £160 so one lucky person is gonna have an extra treat.

We specialise in VAG group cars especially the TDI's and 1.8T engine variants.

If you want anymore info drop us a line.

word of warning, you pay for what you get, there are some horror stories out there, check the site and you will see what i mean, there's a guy in the forum who's got major probs.
check the company out, are they insured, other people recommend them, check out the tech speil i.e what boost are the going to run etc. not all maps suit all cars, get one tailored to your car, next to a house purchase its the biggest amount spent so would you let someone you dont know near your car with a laptop at the side of the road???
just my 2p worth.

And if your keeping your car for a long time (Like I am - running it into the ground lol) you want something which will not jeopardise the overall life/reliability, etc. With using a reputable well known company, my car's life is put in my hands (servicing regularity, throttle abuse, trackdays, risk of accidents) than it blowing up due to a dodgy map (eg: running too high boost, running too lean, etc etc)
