Has anyone remapped their 150 yet?

Have done a search without anything positive. There's lots about using a box, especially a DTUK box.

I've got my FR 150 booked in end of this week for a remap so just looking for some feedback.

I had my MK2 140 PD remapped to 180 and made a massive difference.

Thanks for any replies.

A firm local to me has mapped a 150 to 190 when I enquired about mine, that's within the engines safe zone, anything more than that ( stage 2) is pushing the mechanical components of the 150 to the limit! Would be interested to hear how you get on with yours.

I've not seen anything on here about anyone with a 150 having a map. As you say it's mostly the dtuk box.
Would be good to see a rolling road print out after your map

I have seen a few on here with 150's remapped.
From what I remember about it, they all recommend getting it done, usually saying that it is the best thing you could do to the tdi.

WOW.....Remap done yesterday. Unfortunately no rolling road.

Mapped to about 195. The performance is stunning. Sport mode now means sport mode. I can't imagine what a remapped 184 would be like but on this 150 it just comes to life.

Highly recommended, well pleased I got it done.

I assume this is something you would need to notify your insurance company about? If so, what affect did it have on your premiums?

Same questions for anyone that's had one of the DTUK boxes fitted also.

I'm quite keen to have one or the other done, but don't really want it to have a huge affect on my insurance.

Any modification to your car should be notifiable to your insurance company, whether it be a remap a plugin box such as from DTUK, changing wheels, body modifications, etc, etc, etc. Anything that is a deviance from manufacturer spec, that could also mean any dealer fitted options.

My last insurance company did not require any further payment just notification. This was a remap on my MK2 Leon. Current insurer I have had. To pay £25 admin fee. I told them the map was to gain better fuel economy which it does.

I should think it will vary from insurer to insurer as to costs.

I have a DTUK box fitted and suspension mods all notified and it cost about £10- 15 more per year
currently with LV
they dont seem to mind mods

Only thing keeping me from going ahead is the worry of it being plugged in at the dealer and then knowing its mapped, firm local to me have mapped a 184 to 223bhp

Dealers can detect a map although they don't more often than they do.
If the car is in warranty and you want a dealer to fix any mechanical issues whilst mapped and thry detect the map, you won't be covered.

That being said, with a reputable map that's proven, it shouldn't cause you any major mechanical issues that you would need to book a new car in for (i say new as if it's under warranty age, it's unlikely you'll have major engine issues)
