Another update on the delivery drama. Went to the dealers this morning only to be told the new fantastic computer system now won't be operational until Monday. This means that my new car which I ordered on the 13th of July, which was finally built week 44 and arrived in the UK on 11/11, will have been sitting at the docks for two weeks before it even gets sent to the Dealers. By the time it is delivered and PDI'd and registered I have a feeling we will be into December. This is really starting to become farcical. I am pretty sure the way things have gone it will probably turn up with one silver alloy wheel or something else similarly ridiculous.

Anyway I feel better now I have got that off my chest!

I know this is not the fault of the supplying dealer, but of SEAT themselves who seem to me to be pretty disorganised. As I don't deal with them directly I can't say for sure. The dealer may come up with a good way of softening the wait with the promise of a free service or such like, probably wishful thinking on my part but you never know.

I think SEAT as a compary are really crap as I was also messed around big time (was given a free service in the end but had to ask). Glad I stuck with it though as the car is a great laugh. What you've ordered should look great.

this is exactly why i went for a showroom model, one already in stock no miles at all, perfect condition and no waiting month after month for a greyed out delivery date.

Should be picking mine up on tuesday or thursday next week.
