Other than the interior... how do you find the a3 compared to the Leon? I kinda thought about getting one for a while and I'm curious :)

My Leon was petrol but the Audi is diesel so it's totally different in that respect. But the A3 feels so much nicer to drive, and it's very quiet for a diesel too! Plus the quality of the interior is higher than the Leon (I feel).

If you're interested, have a test drive in one :) that's what made me decide I wanted one.

I don't think the Leon mk2 interior was all that good in relation to the competition when the car was brand new, so it's going to be way off the back when you compare it to something released in the last couple of years. It's functional and comfortable enough though, and I've never had anything noticeably better.

You'd expect an Audi to be better, it's a premium brand that trades largely off it's feel of solidity.

I drive alot of Audi company cars and there a 1000 times nicer environment to be in. So much quieter and there's no vibration from listening to something even a tad basey!

But like people say you pay for what you get. If your complaining about the interior and want better stop been stingy and pay more for and Audi if not enjoy what you have, alot of people would love to drive a Leon lol.

Having just switched to a FL mk2 FR from a mk5 Ibiza, I've found the Leon to be a vast improvement in quality, and the optional leather seats make it a very nice place to be.
I wouldn't have entertained a pre FL Leon.

The Ibiza's interior design was nice, especially with climate control, but it was shocking for rattles and road noise compared to the Leon.

Having said all that Audi's interiors are vastly superior to SEAT, as they should be given the price difference.

The seats in the Leon certainly felt like they 'hugged' a bit more for sure, but I was never comfortable enough with the seats as I just couldn't get it right for me. The Audi doesn't have a lumbar adjustment, but strangely enough the way the seat is, is perfect for my back!

The MKIII Leon is on par with the Audi 8P after sitting in both an owning one a few years back. The new A3 has made another leap quality wise although found the rear view mirror too small. But some really nice touches.

In the end you got what you paid for with the Leon, competitive price, decent mechanicals and a good looking if slightly more costly body to produce. The cost cutting was all done via the interior. You can see that with the price v upgrade in quality on the MKIII Leon.

I was comparing my 59 plate FR to a 09 plate A4 s-line so they're similar age mate.

I did love my cupra seats tho tbf.

Is the A4 a 2005/6ish design? Still not apples with apples, you'd need to compare the Leon to an A3, but even then the Audi will be nicer.

Much like an Ibiza will be a million times nicer than one of those awful Dacia things. You get what you pay for.
