Auto dimming Mirror

Hi All
I have a 2021 Ateca SE Technology that has a manual dimming mirror.
Could anyone tell me if it is possible to fit replace it with an auto dimming mirror.
I guess the actual fitting would be the same but would the wiring be in place to power it ?
I know many cars come with a standard harness ready for all specifications and wondered if this would be the case with my car.

Interesting question. First time it's come up here. Suspect you'll have to buy the bits and see whether it works. It's one of those things you switch on and never touch it again. It's controlled by a switch in it so suspect no coding. As you say cabling is probably there.

Mine looks like the second picture in this:

Did you get any where with this question as I have the same and want to fit Auto Dim

I found that the exiting dumb mirror does have a wired connection going from it into the head lining so suspect the loom is ready for the Auto Dim Mirror

The wiring isn't there, VWAG very very rarely fit unused wiring and even then its one or two in a harness. The wiring will be for your humidity sensor

On the Leon, the dimming mirror has connections for
Power
Ground
Reverse
Interior light

you can retrofit this fairly easily, just needs power and ground - you can run the wires for interior light and reverse all they do is disable the dimming when either the interior light is on or the car is placed in reverse. Kaufatec sell the loom to add one in for the Audi A3 8V that's the last car I did this on
