Right i know we always talk about connecting ipods etc to the cars via fm transmitters, tape adaptors, Dension adaptors and Connects ipod adaptors.

However im not keen on the idea of contolling the playlists and everything through the stereo and would find it much easier to use th ipod itself.

I have found this lead
https://www.connects2.com/c2search.aspx?catID=11&manID=228&modID=549
(Bottom lead) - i know it says Sony but it does look as though its the cd changer (blue) lead. this way with all this connected all that is then require4d is a simple jack to phono lead connected.

Has anyone else tried or doen a method similar to this?

Any imput wouyld be appreciated

I've found that most adapter boxes don't open the audio channels until they see something to play

I used to just have a phono switch with my old Panasonic radio & CD changer in my previous car - the CDs would be spinning in the changer, but the sound came from my portable DVD player

Every so often (when it got to the end of a disc) the sound would cut out until the next disc was loaded in the changer

Connects2 actually do a basic AUX in for all the generic MP3 players out there

how do yu find it tho? as i have heard you can oly select the playlists through the buttons on your facia. this would be a pain for me as i have so much bloody music. That was why i was looking at the aux in idea. Used to do this on my old mk2 ibiza and was really good but that was with a pioneer head unit
