Aux Waterpump error

Aux water pump error,

I have recently strip out non working motor and replaced brushes, and now have working waterpump, but VAGCOM still throwing up a open circuit fault on the pump, so I convinced myself that I'd done something wrong and have bitten the bullit andf bought new pump(£126 ouch). Anyway fitted it this evening, and low and behold, same fault still occuring, needless to say, I not smiling.

Does anyone know of an inline fuse on this pump that may be causing this fault to come up repeativly on VAGCOM, whats more bizarre that it s working fine, but due to the fault code coming up its stopping the Aux Heater firing up!!

Any advice or guidence would be gladly received, not even sure if my VAGCOM will talk around the fault as I'm not fully up to speed on its capabilities.

Just a thought, I was told be a person on here that if you leave the battery cable off for about 30 mins or so it reboots the computer, I had the engine check light on even after I replaced my MAFF and this sorted it, your car might run a little old for a few miles while the computer resets back in to factory settings. good luck.
