Back again with a sticking throttle and bad mpg lol .. The cupras definitely throwing

Ill try and keep it short and sweet. I have noticed over the last month terrible mpg on the computer (18-20 mostly town 21 on a run) and my throttle keeps sticking. Which i notice when i clutch the car as the revs dont drop and sit perfectly still at eg. 2500 for 3-4 seconds before slowly decreasing. Have tried reading into a bit on forums. Not having much luck but the inlet flapper contraption seems to be a common suspect. Whats everyones views???

Throttle position sensor maybe? Have you had it on the computer to see any codes?

Yeah i did originally have it on a computer and that was due to maf sensor issued but thats now sorted and nothing else showed. I think i may be having pcv issues so will get a revamp kit shortly but i dont believe this would be at all related? But im not an expert lol.

Im starting to get this problem. Mate of mine had it to, where the revs stick. He got a pcv delete and its fine now.

Least im not the only one. Its happened quite quickly to me from barely noticable to blatent sticking. Ill buy the delete tonight and i think im going to add a catch can on the rear breather .. Why would thw pcv cause this though? I dont think i still fully understand the concept of this engine.
