i know this is a much asked question but i have spent the last two hours searching through posts to no avail. i have a mk2 valver lowered on coilovers approx 55mm with oz 205/40/17 wheels on a et 37 offset It rubs on the rear arch just at the top of the bumper if you know what i mean it also catches slightly on the bolt holding the inner wing on the front arches. My plan was to scrap the 17s and get a set of 195/45/16 with a et of 38, i thought this would tuck the tyre just inside the arches solving all my probs.... Am i right?

You should piss it with 16's, unless you plan on lowering more.

Mine was lowered 60mm on 6x16s (ET38) and it scrubbed on everything!

Mine was 'low' on 16"s and never scrubbed the arches. It did other stuff like catch the floor

mines is 60ish mm on coilovers on porsche rims and the ET is about 30 and no rubbing at all, think ive found the perfect match for now

Even on 40mm, they start to wear the bulge on arch liner on full lock, when lowered 60mm it wore the whole thing away and more! I ended up ripping them out and throwing them in the skip! This applied to my Cordoba and Ibiza.
