i know this is a much asked question but i have spent the last two hours searching through posts to no avail. i have a mk2 valver lowered on coilovers approx 55mm with oz 205/40/17 wheels on a et 37 offset It rubs on the rear arch just at the top of the bumper if you know what i mean it also catches slightly on the bolt holding the inner wing on the front arches. My plan was to scrap the 17s and get a set of 195/45/16 with a et of 38, i thought this would tuck the tyre just inside the arches solving all my probs.... Am i right?
thanks!

mines is 60ish mm on coilovers on porsche rims and the ET is about 30 and no rubbing at all, think ive found the perfect match for now :)

Even on 40mm, they start to wear the bulge on arch liner on full lock, when lowered 60mm it wore the whole thing away and more! I ended up ripping them out and throwing them in the skip! This applied to my Cordoba and Ibiza.

16" 6" wide rim front - 195/45/16
16" 8" wide rim rear - 195/45/16

stretch :)
