Hi I have tried searching but couldnt find anything.

After having my pre FL FR for a few days the DPF rattle is doing my head in and will be looking at getting it removed.

I was wondering if anyone around the North East has used the above company and if so would they recommend them?


They will do DPF removal and remap for £375 which seems reasonable to me.

I had my 1.2TSi remapped by them and can't complain, it was very good service. The after service means a lot to John and he is always willing to help.

Everyone who has dealt with John has nothing but good things to say about him, you're better going to VAG cars. It's a north east based forum and Big fish tuning have a section on that website

I have just spoken to them on the phone and the quote he gave was £525 all in including EGR removal too.

That sounds about right from other quotes I've heard. Join the Vag Cars forum and you'll see he's very popular on there. As I say, I don't have a bad word to say about him. He's recently moved premises and got an all new rolling road installed etc, it looks spot on!

Yeah thanks mate, I have had a quick look on VAG cars and seems members get a discount from John which is good and worth registering for.

He was extremely helpful over the phone and explained everything in a fair amount of detail. Might have to get saving

Try VASSTECH in Northallerton. Just been talking to them and they have done 3-4 DPF removals and remaps. Not sure of price but a remap alone is £225 +vat.

Sedox performance in Sunderland are worth a shout too, removed my dpf for £399 all in and it's much better now. Heard nothing but good stuff about them too.

Yeah they were the other place I'd looked and also heard nothing but good reviews of their work.

Like I said, I had my dpf removed there, I got it back the same day, never had it power remapped as I don't feel the need yet for what I use my car for but they have a rolling road and all the facilities there, good bunch of lads too and well priced. I will be going there for my stage 2 when I do.
