Bought a bike carrier from Toys R Us at the weekend took a friggin hour to fit it!!!

Had to attach the top clips inside the car

Side straps were fine clipped on just below the window

Bottom straps - one on the tow hook (what a pain gettin gthe cover off and on!!)
and the other on the plastic thingy on the spare wheel pan

Where do you guys clip the bl00dt things on??

I bought the seat accessories one which just clips into the holes in the roof rails ;)

Yep, same for me!

Also ordered a pair of Thule 591 mountain bike carriers from an eBay shop based in Germany as they could ship a pair cheaper than I could get them anywhere UK based.....

Seat roof bars are made by Thule and have the channel in the top so the racks just slide into place.

Sorry I can't actually help with your question :) Could always take it back if you can't get it to fit right.

Just reminds me: Saw a Leon in Hunstanton late last year who drove into a car park with his two bikes on the roof - Only he forgot that there was a height barrier on this car park. One big bang later plus several scratches and a whole heap of embarrassment and can you guess today's lesson????

If you dont mind me asking how much were the seat roof bars and the 591 carriers? :)

The roof bars were £99.57+VAT (bought at the time of picking the car up from the dealer, so a bit of discount given)

A pair of 591's were €145 including delivery from Germany - I paid using PayPal and at their exchange rates at the time ('bout a week or more ago) it worked out about £103 for the pair delivered (cheapest I could find in the UK was £115, and most were nearer £150!!

Will be putting them on the LCR tomorrow night ready to go off Saturday am :) If you want the details for the shop in Germany I have their e-mail address.
