Blaupunkt Memphis MP66

Hey guys,

Has anyone tried or know someone who has one of the above HU's?

Are they any good? I know Blaupunkt used to be the dogs nuts years ago, but maybe they have changed ???

I'm after upgrading my Aura head unit for something a little better. I'm not after a window-breaking system, I had that in my last car. I'm just after high quality sounding kit.

If anyone has heard a Blaupunkt Casablanca MP56, or a Queens MP56, they are basically the same HU.

Experiences please..

The Casablanca is quite highly regarded I think - from what I've heard it's very popular and knocks out a good sound for a good price.

I'm not sure they're as bullet-proof as they once were tho. I had a Blaupunkt 3-4 years ago (not a Casablanca admittedly) and within a year it had given up the ghost. The contacts between the front fascia and the stereo weren't connecting properly and no amount of cleaning could sort it.

So I bought an Alpine and never looked back...
