Bluetooth media spotify/soundcloud

Does anyone else use spotify or soundcloud over bluetooth in the car? Reason being is the infotainment system usually displays the current track information and length of the song etc..although last few days it hasn't showed anything at all when playing music over the BT through either of these apps.
Anyone else got any similar issues or a fix for this - I use a Samsung Galaxy S5?

Tried the usual reset and other phones but nothings working, might see if I can get a software update from the dealer.

I've just tried in mine (Android running KitKat) and get the same results.

I've got a bluetooth headphone adapter which is hit and miss for displaying track details on it's little screen.

Nexus 5 and Google Play works fine with track names and control without a problem.

Soundcloud is hit and miss. Sometimes you have to press the controls on the phone to get it to wake up again. keeps playing, just lose control from the steering wheel sometimes.

Have tested Deezer (like Spotify - but better) on the iPhone at it works flawlessly. Track names, playlists everything just works, can control from the phone or the car - very impressed.

Hmm weird tried it in my mates 14 plate leon FR and it works perfectly! I might backup and restore my phone and try that.

Any chance you guys could post a pic of the software versions you have in the car?

Exactly the same in my car using spotify. Doesn't show up correct info on dash. Ummmmm

Usually depends on your phones Bluetooth software. IPhone 5s seems to display track names,skip through track etc. my old htc one didn't display tracks via Bluetooth.

This is what works for me so I just do that now. Hassle but I like to see what's playing...
