Regarding the bluetooth phone facility on the new Leon.

Can anyone confirm whether the kit can only 'sync' with contacts saved on the SIM

or (preferably)

can it deal with contacts that have multiple numbers saved on the phone itself?

I tested it with a nokia 6230i and it would pull contacts from the phone memory as well. Also it doesn't deal brilliantly with multiple numbers per contact - you get say four entries for the same person and don't know which number is which until you select it and see what it's planning on dialling.
If you only have a few people that you usually call from the car then you can get round it with duplicate contacts with a single entry e.g. AAWife mob so it comes at the top of the list and you know what it is if you get my drift.
Either that or program the voice tag, but this can get a bit inaccurate if you're belting along.

I believe this is the same issue that people are experiencing with the CK3100 Parrott BT Kit. Basically it is said that you need to have your contacts on the SIM which is not entirely true.

To sort your problem out, you would have to download and process the Nokia 810/610 Contact Download Application software available from the Nokia website. Please use the software which is 104KB and not the 146KB software.

that sorted it for me

Do you get contacts downloading now then? Which phone? Presumbaly as you're pointing towards the smaller .sisx file it's one of the newer Symbian series phones e.g. N73. A lot of people will be interested in that.
