Bocanegra Acceleration Problem...

Okay guys, basically about 7 weeks ago my car went into limp mode (wouldn't allow acceleration and had no power available) So I took it to a nearby garage (a close friend of my Dad's) who then referred me to one of his friends who is a specialist in these 1.4 turbo/supercharged engines. Before this limp mode occurred the car had been running very loudly at high speeds, but apart from that everything else was fine. Anyway, the car had been in the garage for over 5 weeks due to the amount of problems he found.
Here is a list of the things he done to it (as worded on the invoice) :
Supply and fit new timing chain kit including new VVT pulley, new guides, tensioner and pulleys.
Rebuild using all new gaskets and seals.
Fit new water pump unit as friction material between water pump drive and supercharger drive had worn away.
Fit new spark plugs and carry out oil and filter change.
Reset all engine parameters.
Replace 2 coil packs.

So now after all that there is still a problem which he doesn't seem to be able to fix...
Which is a sudden loss of power at high revs. For example, imagine you're in 4th gear going round a roundabout and as you merge onto the dual carriageway you put your foot down to accelerate. Well the car drops gears, as it should, to 2nd gear and starts to build the speed up. But when it gets to around 6,000 revs it seems to just give up and basically stop revving. It wil then go to 4th, 5th, 6th and even 7th gear fine but then there is absolutely no power for the remainder of the journey. So if I put my foot down again... nothing. No power whatsoever. It's starting to really irritate me now. I've got a £850 bill to pay but left with a car that isn't 100%. Apart from that it runs fine in and around town but when you want to drop gears to overtake then that's when the problem starts. It's almost as if the turbo isn't activating or it's shutting down.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

At first it had a constant Emissions Control Management light on but now there's no light on the dash and the problem is still occurring. So it did come up with a fault which was a turbo issue (not sure exactly what that meant) but he drove it, said it was fine, and now it's doing it again but this time without any warning lights on the dash...
