Does anyone else have issues with brake modulation? I actually have to think about pressing the brakes as the merest fraction of movement on the pedal and the car goes from light retardation to heavy braking. Both my passenger and myself end up like nodding dogs.

For context I've been driving 40 years, drive HGV's for a living, drive race cars for fun, have completed various advanced driving courses and taught a few too. I'm used to jumping into unfamiliar vehicles both old and new on a regular basis and have never had an issue getting used to it within a few miles. I've now covered around 1000 miles in this Terramar and still can't get smooth brake application.

Same here. It's normal and it needs certain time to get used to.
And it's result of a mhev system doing its job...

A lot of people are unhappy with the operation and feeling of the electro hydraulic braking systems fitted to modern vehicles.

Thanks for the replies. I was guessing that there was some form of electric assistance to the braking but as it still has a normal servo from what I can see, I really don't understand the need for any further assistance. Modern cars!! Much prefer my classics.
