Brake upgrade help

Thinkin of upgrading the brakes on my 98 tdi to ones off a 2.0 16v gti ibiza. Just need abit of help on what ill need. Like do i need the calipers and carriers or do the ones on mine do the job? Any help would be great....

I'd have thought your brakes would be sufficient but you should only need the carriers and calipers iirc. Oh and the master cylinder too

just be sure to measure yours and get him to do the same. Depending your model/year yours might well be the same anyway. 280mm discs on the earlier models upto 288mm on the run-outs

Well didnt even get them, the guy sent it off to the scrap yard and the brakes, gearbox and interior are gone ffs.....ahwell next time

Measure yours up mate and send me the details. I've got 3 cordys that are being canabalised into one throughout the summer so might have a full set of what you need going.

Hey toddygti looked in the haynes manual and they are 239mm

cool. the standard Cupra runs 280mm so you'd need the carriers, the calipers and the master cylinder.

Mines look so small and ive only the 16 cupra wheels on...the brakes on the clio fill the 16s nicly, think there 280
